Next up is to remove the outer covered of the unit. This can be done with the help of a screwdriver. Most of the air con units use anywhere from 4 to 6 screws for holding the unit in the frame. However, there are some model that use more than six screws. Therefore you want to be careful while removing the unit as unnecessary force to remove the frame without unscrewing the remaining screws may damage the hole permanently.
